HISTORY OF NOKE KOI MUSIC
Vari Teka means 'the first ray of sunlight”' in Noke Vana, our traditional language.
Our village was founded in ___ by ___, the father of Pina Varinawa. His mission was to guide people toward living in harmony with nature and with one another, envisioning the village as a bridge between worlds. Today, under the leadership of his son, Chief Pina Varinawa, that legacy continues. Vari Teka now stands as a powerful symbol of resistance, renewal, and deep respect for indigenous traditions, culture, and wisdom.
DISCOVER The POWERFUL Spirit of Noke Koî Music
The ancient sounds of the forest have been passed down through Noke Koî lineages, gifted to the Pajés by the spirits of the forest. These sacred chants, used for thousands of years carry powerful, healing energy.
Today, a new generation of Indigenous youth is breathing fresh life into these traditions—blending the ancestral chants with guitar, djembe, and other instruments to create a sacred expression of timeless wisdom.
